Working in the Engineering and manufacturing sectors has recently thrown up challenges regarding a skills shortage.

H.F. Bond & Co Ltd have taken steps in an attempt to secure a talent pipeline. These measures consist of the following.

• Becoming an Industry Partner to the local college.
• Becoming an Enterprise Adviser to local schools.
• Becoming a City & Guilds T Level Validator.
• Becoming a member of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce.

As a company, we feel it is essential to be part of developing the next generation of engineers and manufacturers. By engaging with learning institutions, we have been able to identify suitable candidates to help our business prosper.

We have a Fabrication and Wedling Level 3 apprentice.

Team Leader Will R has successfully qualified as our internal Responsible Welding Co-ordinator.

QHS Manager Will H gains IOSH, DSEAR and Legionella qualifications.
